OPTOMAN

Non-polarizing Plate Beamsplitters

Overview

Cemented cube beamsplitters fail in most high power laser applications due to the coatings' epoxy layer and hybrid origin, where chromium or other types of metals are used. OPTOMAN introduces all-dielectric Non-Polarizing Plate Beamsplitters, which are virtually insensitive to the polarization of the incoming beam.

Features

S and P polarization components matched to within 5%

With 5% being the typical tolerance, OPTOMAN can match S and P components to within 1% for the most demanding applications.

Back surface AR coated to eliminate ghosting

The front surface is coated with multilayer all dielectric coating while the back face is coated with an anti-reflective coating to minimize reflection losses and eliminate ghost images.

30 arcmin wedge eliminates unwanted internal fringes

A slight wedge helps eliminate back reflection to the laser and unwanted interference fringes, which might appear in the image.

High Laser Damage Threshold

The non-polarizing beamsplitter coating is an all-dielectric coating. It features a much higher laser damage threshold than hybrid metallic-dielectric non-polarizing beamsplitter cubes, for example, >10 J/cm2 @ 1064 nm, 20 ns, 20 Hz.
